Cynthia works for the Federal Reserve Bank of Chicago which is one of 12 regional Reserve Banks across the United States that, together with the Board of Governors in Washington, D.C., serve as the central bank for the United States. She has held several positions in the Federal Reserve Bank of Chicago over the last eleven years, primarily within the finance arena. She is currently responsible for coordinating and managing the bank’s cost accounting function, including the development, installation, and monitoring of cost control systems. She also manages the bank’s annual budget process and financial reporting functions. Cynthia’s department is responsible for providing financial information to the bank’s senior management, Board of Directors, Federal Reserve System Product Offices throughout the country, and the Board of Governors. Prior to working at the Federal Reserve, Cynthia brought almost ten years work experience from other Chicago organizations where she held several positions from Office Manager to Director of Students Records for Robert Morris College. Cynthia holds a Masters of Business Administration with a concentration in Finance/International Business from Loyola University.

Mary has nineteen years in the consumer banking and financial services industry. 

Her current position requires utilizing strong leadership skills to coach, motivate and direct a diverse staff of 200 employees in 18 Financial Centers with $1.62 billion in assets and liabilities.  Developing strong business plans for each financial center and analyzing their profit and loss reports for trends and opportunities for change and improvement is the manager’s role, which contributes to the growth and profitability of the area financial centers.  Keeping in touch with the staff and recognizing the strengths and weaknesses of individuals and the group as a whole has lead to an active ongoing training process in the Area.

Previously Mary has served as Financial Center Manager for various locations in the greater Chicagoland area as well as Manager in the Retail Acquisition Team.  Prior to that she was with Citicorp Retail Services, Chicago Illinois as Assistant Vice President, Relationship Manager.

Mary has grown in responsibilities and accomplishment with each role.  She is experienced in managing a diverse, ethnic staff and client base and is actively involved in various community events and organizations that mirror the communities in which Citibank serves.

Mary holds a BS from Northern Illinois University.

Mr. Sierra’s experience has emphasized applying accounting, budgeting, forecasting, project management, financial, and general business expertise in advisory forensic services. He has over five years experience specializing in advisory accounting and forensic services, risk and compliance, and other litigation support services for a diverse group of both public and private clients. He has effectively managed multiple client engagements throughout the world including Brazil, Chile, India, Italy, Mexico, and Spain. He has also conducted most of these engagements in Industries such as advertising, agricultural, automotive, client services, consumer products, manufacturing, pharmaceutical, telecommunication and transportation

Prior to joining PricewaterhouseCoopers, Mr. Sierra gained a year and a half work experience preparing historical and forecasted financial statements for small to medium size companies as well as preparing corporate and individual tax returns

Dianne Rischke

Vice President Director, Operational Risk Management
Ms. Rischke is an experienced operations manager and project leader.  She is a graduate of the Masters of Business Administration program at Kellogg School of Management, Northwestern University, with a focus on Business Strategy, Finance, and Organizational Design. She also holds a Bachelor of Science in Finance from the University of Illinois, Champaign-Urbana.

In her current position Ms. Rischke oversees Harris Bank’s operational risk profile ensuring bank has proper mechanisms to measure and manage operational risk. Her previous positions at Harris were the following: Shared Services Manager; Strategic Initiatives Manager; Senior Consultant; Sourcing Manager; Project Consultant and Process Consultant.

Ms.Rischke’s affiliations are with Kellogg School of Management Executive Women’s Network; Stonegate Community Association and the Global Association of Risk Professionals

Madeleine Philbin

Catholic Relief Services

Responsible for coordinating and directing CRS programs and services to U.S. Catholics in a twelve state region. She also directs CRS’ relationship building, outreach, programming and advocacy in the area. Prior to coming to CRS, she acted as a consultant for the Friends First Mentoring program at the Mercy Home for Boys and Girls in Chicago . She held numerous community-organizing and social service positions with Chicago Commons. As Project Director for Chicago Commons Future Commons High School Project, she led the implementation of a program to develop and implement a new school-to-work high school in partnership with Chicago Public Schools. She also served as a counselor at Catholic Charities of Chicago. She has long been involved in community and civic groups. Ms. Philbin has also served as a volunteer for the local Special Olympics and as a volunteer for the Peace Museum. Madeleine received her Bachelor or Arts degree with honors from the University of Notre Dame.
