Our work leverages the whole school
More NEWS derived from the Illinois School Report Card Data Trends Report:
Increased graduation rate at our demonstration school site, Benito Juarez Community Academy, where we have operated for 6 years. The Class of 2005 which included Lea's first freshman class served the graduation rate went from 59.4% in 2004 to 68.9%. In 2006 it rose up to 72.3%. This class included our second group of freshman served by LEA.
The One Year Dropout Rate decreased from 20.5% for class of 2004, before LEA, to 15.2% in 2005 and 15.9% in 2006.
These results demonstrate the effectiveness and strength of the partnership Latino Education Alliance enjoys with the educators at Benito Juarez Community Academy.
